Final Year Project 2

In FYP 2, I decided to change my title of my project. With Dr Aizat's permission and help, I proceeded to do project called "FUZZY LOGIC BASED LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM USING RASPBERRY PI PICO". As the beginning, the rises in population and human requirements directly correlates to an increased demand for electrical energy, particularly concerning lighting necessities. Hence, it becomes imperative to implement energy-saving measures in lighting systems to minimize energy consumption while ensuring optimal lighting conditions. This can be achieved through the implementation of light dimming controls. In this research, we present the implementation of dimming lighting controls using Raspberry Pi Pico with fuzzy logic-based system with three inputs of LDR sensor. Therefore, three membership function input were used. The output of this project is incandescent dimmable bulb. To make the lighting control system operate, defuzzification value of fuzzy logic was used as Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). MOSFET circuit was used to control the voltage of the bulb increases as the PWM increases and vice versa. By conducting this research, it will increase the user to be confronted with an intelligent system as help reduce energy consumption and save cost.
