Activity: Find out the significance, scope and limitations of project and start research on previous project
This week, I will write about the significance, scope and limitations of my project.
As for the conclusion of chapter 1, I briefly discussed the project background, problem statement, objectives of the project, the scope and limitations of the project.
After I finished writing chapter 1, I started doing research on previous project in order to write chapter 2 which is a literature review. In this week, I started with face recognition paper. For starters, I read a paper about “Design of Face Detection and Recognition System for Smart Home Security Application”. The aim of this research is to examine the performance of face detection in various changes of distance, light intensity, light position angles, person’s accessories and shirt color. From this research, I learned that distance from person to camera, light intensity of surroundings, angles position of lighting camera, accessories and shirt color that person wearing can be a variable to determine the effectiveness of face recognition.
